Preview & Export

On the top right of the Producer page you will see a Preview & Export button. This button opens the Preview & Export page.

At any point in your production process you can view a PDF preview or download a PDF or Epub of your book. Collaborators with Edit access can view export previews, but cannot download PDF or Epub files. Collaborators with View access can view export previews, but cannot download PDF or Epub files. More information on permissions can be found in the Book members section of this guide.

You will see a default preview when you first arrive on the Preview & Export page. Depending on your permissions you can choose Epub or PDF, apply a page size (for PDF only), choose which front matter pages you want to include in your book, and choose a design template. When you change these settings the preview regenerates to apply your settings.

Controls at the bottom of the PDF preview allow you to toggle between single and double page PDF view, and zoom in and out of your PDF. Note that zoom regenerates the preview so you have to scroll back to your page position.

On the bottom right of the page you can download a PDF or Epub.

Note that Epub preview is not currently available. To download an Epub, choose the Epub toggle on the top right of the preview page, select the content you want to include, and click Download epub. You can preview your Epub in an epub reader of choice on your machine.

At any point, you can return to your book with the Back to book button at the top left of the page, make changes, and Preview & Export again.
